My Kitchen Rules smashes through 2m metro-viewer mark
My Kitchen Rules won 2.11m viewers last night marking one of the biggest audiences in the show’s history, excluding the grand finale and winner announcement episodes.
The fifth series of the show is proving to be one of the most popular with the audience of 2.11m metro viewers for a regular show eclipsed only by slightly higher audiences for some episodes of the fourth season broadcast last year. Combined ratings show MKR had 3m viewers.
MKR launched to 1.67m last week and the audience grew to 1.8m on Monday, while the highest audience in the history of the show was 2.95m for the finale of series four in April 2013 according to OzTam preliminary overnight figures.
The first Big Bang episode was a new one.
The second was a repeat.
