Leading independent media agency The Media Store today announced the appointment of Brady Lyon as its new Investment Director.

In the newly created role Lyon will develop the buying footprint and revenue management within the agency, amongst other thought leadership, partner relationship and pitching responsibilities.

Lyon is a highly skilled media investment and sales specialist, bringing nearly 10 years’ experience in leading investment, trading and sales teams and operations to The Media Store.

He was previously Agency Sales Director at GoTransit Media Group, responsible for establishing strong partnerships between suppliers and clients, leading to some of the company’s biggest out-of-home campaigns.

Prior to this, Lyon spent nearly eight years at EssenceMediacom, working across communications and trading and led an investment team across all offline mediums. He was appointed as one of just a few Investment Directors at EssenceMediacom Melbourne in 2022, responsible for managing media investments for clients across the FMCG, charity and finance categories.

“As one of Australia’s largest independent media agencies, we have always prided ourselves on delivering media reimagined and effective results for our clients, with our deep expertise across strategy, planning and partnership integration,” The Media Store Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Leeds, said.

“Brady’s appointment is testament to the calibre of media experience we are able to attract, and our commitment as a business to bringing highly skilled, passionate people to our team. With nearly a decade of experience in the agency space, Brady has negotiated media investments for clients across a range of verticals, building a reputation for delivering results in a competitive landscape. He intimately understands the media landscape and has a track record for creating meaningful campaigns and partnerships – we are thrilled to welcome him to The Media Store.”

Commenting on his appointment, Lyon said: “Having worked with some of the nation’s biggest brands during my career, I’ve become acutely aware of the power of strong relationships between agencies and clients in making campaigns truly memorable. As I look to further my experience, The Media Store offers a rich environment for growth – its position in the industry, its well-established history of innovation and its commitment to clients makes it the ideal place for me to take the next step in my career. I’m excited to work with the team and look forward to supporting their 2026 growth plans.”

Lyon’s new role follows The Media Store’s appointment of Tanvi Singh, who joined the agency as its new Head of Strategy and Planning last year.

The agency has also enjoyed strong client growth in recent months, adding the digital media account for sustainable rideshare company Splend to its stable, which also includes Rugby World Cup Experiences, RMIT, Hino and ENGIE, among others.

Lyon’s appointment is effective immediately.
