Live Nation to bring Jess Mauboy, Kate Ceberano to Westfield with new strategic partnership

Jessica Mauboy, Amy Shark and Stan Walker will perform free concerts at Westfield shopping centres, as part of a new strategic partnership between Westfield parent company Scentre Group and entertainment group Live Nation Entertainment.

More than 20 live performances are planned across the second half of 2023, with iconic Australian singer Kate Ceberano to kick things off on 17 September at Westfield Doncaster in Melbourne.

As live music fan attendance hits an all-time high, the partnership aims to connect Westfield’s millions of visitors to their favourite artists. Elliot Rusanow, CEO at Scentre Group, said the strategic focus is to deliver “new and extraordinary experiences that make people want to come and spend their time with us”.

“We know music and live entertainment have the power to bring people and communities together, which is why we’re excited to be partnering with Live Nation to offer exclusive and free live music performances at our Westfield destinations across Australia and New Zealand,” he continued.

“We’re looking forward to lighting up our centres and enjoying these shows with our customer over the coming months.”

In addition to the live performances, the partnership will give Westfield members chances to win tickets and VIP experiences to Live Nation concerts, including P!nk, Jonas Brothers, Blink-182 and Post Malone, among others.

Live Nation ANZ’s president, brand and marketing partnerships ANZ, Greg Segal, said: “We’re excited to partner with Westfield to provide customers with a new opportunity to access some of their favourite local artists, for free.

“The program also provides artists with rare opportunities to play in unique venues, making this partnership even more special,” he said.

The companies say the event series mark the first phase of a long-term partnership, with more planned in the coming years.

The new partnership follows Scentre Group’s launch of the ‘Feel Your Rhythm’ campaign last week, which Westfield’s head of marketing, brand and content, Amy Copley said follows the same strategic focus of creating inviting moments for customers.
