Longings into belongings in latest Freedom Furniture ad
Freedom Furniture has unveiled a TV and press campaign created by M&C Saatchi featuring a woman so overcome with her longing for the brand she’s left with her nose pressed against the glass of the store.

While the sound design isn’t particularly well synced, its a subtly clever means of turning “listeners” into “watchers”. Like many audiences of my generation, multi-tasking while the TV is on makes it harder for advertisers to grab attention. I’ll watch a program, cooking or working on a laptop during the ad breaks. A sound like this would entice me to look up.
Now I’ve gotta figure out a way to put fart noises into our next production.
I’m a sucker for the simple elegance of a well blocked, single, static shot TVC. This and the “…may not be a tomorrow” Freedom ads have a consistent aesthetic that should encourage brand association.
