Love Media founders go to court amid winding-up dispute
The co-founder of independent media agency Love Media has moved to wind up the company’s holding entity, amid a dispute between the agency’s two directors.
Tony Woodward has filed to close Love Media Holdings, the parent company that shares its name with the media planning and buying agency, naming co-founder Anthony Douglas as the other party.
The two are scheduled to face each other in remote court proceedings on 6 February and again on 28 April.
Woodward and Douglas co-founded Sydney-based Love Media in 2019, which counts The Iconic and Surf Life Saving among its clients, but are now understood to no longer be in direct contact.
In 2022, the pair set up Love Media Holdings to sit above the agency. According to ASIC records, the holding company now has three subsidiaries: Love Digital, Love Ventures Studio, and Caddie Media Services, although the latter is non-operational.
Woodward and Douglas each hold 50% of the holding company’s 10,000 shares through their respective vehicles, Metal Edge Holdings and Scenic Routes.
Woodward, a media agency veteran of Initiative, Mediacom, and Dentsu Aegis Network, is listed on Linkedin as Love Media’s finance officer and is understood to have a day-to-day role in the agency’s operations.

Despite the winding up application, Love Media is understood to be continuing to operate, with Woodward saying in an emailed statement: “It’s normal operations for Love Media [agency], and for all of our staff and clients.
“The ownership entity Love Media Holdings has no effect on the day-to-day running of Love Media.”
Douglas, who previously worked at Fairfax for almost a decade, is listed on ASIC as the holding company’s secretary but is understood not to have an active operational role.

Anthony Douglas
Love Media is now led by managing director Rob Wall, with a team of five, including client director Alana Dowling, who joined in 2024 and former Stan media lead Meredith Graham in 2022.
Douglas could not be reached despite multiple attempts by Mumbrella.
Great read.
