Mag launches for babyboomers: Spiritual Space

A magazine has launched targeted at baby boomers. Titled Spiritual Space Magazine, the monthly title is published from Brisbane and fills “a need for more informed spiritual information for this age group,” said executive editor Lynda Flower. The magazine is also available online at spiritualspace.com.au.

The announcement:

A new online spiritual magazine has been launched in Brisbane, Australia aimed at ‘baby boomers’. Developed specifically with those over 55 in mind, Spiritual Space Magazine covers a wide range of contemporary spiritual topics and issues.

Spiritual Space Magazine executive editor Lynda Flower said the monthly magazine filled a need for more informed spiritual information for this age group.

“Many baby boomers may have touched on the spiritual side of life during the hippy heydays of the late 60s. Now some 30 years later, with retirement on the horizon and a lessening of professional and family demands, there is a renewed interest in spirituality.”

Ms Flower said this interest was often prompted by life changing events and circumstances.

“As baby boomers enter their late 50s and 60s, the chances of a loved one passing or a family member being diagnosed with a serious illness tend to increase. These events frequently prompt a search for more spiritual answers and explanations. But with the explosion of spiritual information in recent years, particularly online, it is difficult for those with limited knowledge to find their way through the maze.”

“This new magazine covers a range of basic topics such as spiritual development, spiritual healing and meditation and also has tips from leading Australian mediums to help people along their spiritual pathway. All the articles are practical and down-to-earth, definitely no channeled entities from another galaxy!”

Spiritual Space Magazine is published monthly online. The March issue is free, but from the April edition there is a monthly subscription fee of $3.50 to cover costs and keep the site free of advertising.  For more information visit spiritualspace.com.au.

Her experience has included working as a volunteer for 15 years at one of Brisbane’s oldest spiritual churches, where she ran meditation and spiritual development groups, edited the church magazine and acted as vice-president. In addition to publishing Spiritual Space Magazine and her spiritual research activities, she is a frequent guest speaker at a number of spiritual churches and centres throughout South East Queensland.
