Marketing salaries are on the rise… unless you’re a CMO

The salaries for entry-level marketing roles in Australia have increased, however, the average CMO has taken a $10k pay cut, new industry data has claimed.

Last year, companies were gradually returning to pre-pandemic salary benchmarks, but this year’s economic challenges have heavily shifted the supply and demand pendulum.

According to iknowho’s annual Salary & Market Insights Guide, the starting salary (exclusive of superannuation) for a marketing coordinator/assistant has increased by $5k from the previous year, while the starting number for a marketing manager has increased by $10k.
