Masterchef dips to 850,000 metro viewers as Nine’s The Voice dominates

MasterchefMasterchef posted its lowest audience for the season pulling in 850,000 metro viewers, down on last week’s audience of 949,000.

It was easily out-rated by by Nine’s The Voice, which pulled in 1.421m metro viewers at 7:30pm. Both shows beat Seven’s House Rules which was watched by 765,000.

The Voice was the most-watched show across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54) while Masterchef was the second most-watched show.

Nine won the night with an audience share of 24.3%, ahead of Seven’s share of 17.4%. Ten and the ABC tied, with both channels posting a share of 14.3%. When secondary channels are accounted for, Ten claimed third place with a total audience share of 20% ahead of the ABC’s total share of 19%.
