The McDonald’s “Mary had a Little Lamb” billboard ads are appalling. Whilst we all know meat comes from animals no-one wants to be reminded of it.
i loved the billboards. i laughed so hard.
I think these ads are great, really endearing. I laughed out loud when Sam Kekovich hugged the young manager (who appropriately looks about 16); sometimes the simplest gets at the best.
I agree. These ads are well directed and beautifully balanced, the result stays with the viewer and leaves a desire to see the ad again. The “hug” is beautifully managed and the desired results are well in evidence.
My only niggle is this; the “Sony Jim” comment by Mr Kekovich needs just a few grains of added sugar, apart from that, I think his work in the ads is flawless.
God, Sam Kekovich is a disgusting human being.
Yes, I’m a ‘farkin’ vego poofter’ etc etc, but this is just vile. The ‘humorous’ marketing of the consumption of a baby sheep carcass? What is WRONG with you people?
Humour and food occupy different footholds for mine, particularly association of the animal and the food..
You two (above) are fools! Get a life!
Pretty sure it is you anonymous that is a fool. A lamb is a baby. I would love to see you or someone in your family who is a child to be cooked up for a burger. You clearly have no life and your existence isn’t particularly needed either.
I think this ad makes the Mcdonalds staff look unintelligent and nosy. I don’t understand why the young man in the ad cant make the new burger even with a clear diagram in front of him that anyone can understand within seconds of seeing. Not only does he need someone to explain it to him too, let alone the 3rd nosey girl who cant help but butt in to disclose the last 2 ingredients that are bleedingly obvious to all.
I get the feeling the the ad was not only meant to tell us consumers (shuddering at that word) that they have a new lamb burgder and it would be ‘unaustralian’ not to eat it – but also a recruitment ad for potential new dumb Australians to work in their ultra controlled, no thought work environment that is filled with good looking youthfuls. I dont mean to insult Mcdonald workers, and i concede i may be reading much to far into this, but in my opinion this ad does the company’s image & its employees no favors.
