Melissa McCarthy film opens with $1.9m, can’t knock out Avengers: Infinity War

Melissa McCarthy’s latest film, Life of the Party, opened at the weekend box office with $1.995m in earnings, but was unable to knock Disney’s Avengers: Infinity War out of the top position.
