MiniMBA: A marketing education shortcut reviewed
Mumbrella’s editorial director Hal Crawford spent two months earlier this year undertaking Mark Ritson‘s MiniMBA in Marketing. This is what he made of it.

I struggled to write this review.
Like an undergraduate, I’ve pushed the assignment all the way to deadline.
Now it’s here. I’ve got to knuckle down and write. I’ve got to tell you like it is.
Here we go.
Is the Mouldy Whopper a case study?
I think the biggest mistake the author of this article made was not taking the exam. The exam brought the whole course together, made you revise the modules constantly and then everything just clicked into place.
Other than that, I totally agree with all of the other comments.
I completed the Mini MBA in Marketing this year too – well worth the investment even for an “old dog” like me. The other benefit was being able to network, and work collaboratively on the exam with a group of like-minded professionals keen to learn but also do well in said exam. If you’re thinking of signing up – just do it, and also try to connect with other students from your area / city early. Meet for drinks during reading week, and organize a study group together as soon as the exam comes out – it all helps get even more out of the course.
