MKR winner announcement drops half a million, but final episode up

The winner announcement for My Kitchen Rules was down by nearly half a million for Seven with a metro audience of 2.596m, down nearly half a million viewers from last year’s 2.952m, according to  preliminary overnight ratings.

However, the average for the grand final was up on last year’s episode, with 2.302m metro viewers tuning in compared to last years 2.154m.

The juggernaut reality show helped Seven dominate the night, more than doubling the 17.1 per cent audience share of Nine with 36.6 per cent. ABC1 was third for the night with a share of 12.3 per cent while Ten was fourth with 9.3 per cent.
