The announcement:

Mobile Embrace, Australia and New Zealand’s one-stop for end-to-end mobile marketing and advertising, has appointed a new senior sales manager in its Victorian office in a bid to service the increasing demand for its mobile advertising business in the region.

Mobile Embrace’s mobile advertising business, has recently further expanded its client base with many new notable major brands utilising its advertising network, including American Express, Jagermeister, St George, Peugeot, Red Bull, Xbox, Dick Smith, Kelloggs, SPC, Kia, Warner Music, Red Rooster, Webjet, Sanitarium, Adidas, Disney Home Entertainment, Schick and Village Roadshow.

Digital marketing veteran, Adrian Kos will lead Victorian sales through this exciting growth period. Adrian brings to the role strong strategic experience developing integrated advertiser solutions and more than 12 years’ experience in digital media working across Fairfax Digital, ninemsn, News Ltd and Telstra advertising.

Pete Birch of Mobile Embrace, said, “In the second half of 2012 we experienced triple digit growth. Brands increasingly want to know the sites and apps where their ads appear, and we provide that. Increasingly they are realising the shortfalls of buying a blind network buy.  With mobile advertising demand particularly strong in Victoria, the appointment of a new senior sales manager will provide our agency clients with the strategic counsel they need to guide their mobile campaigns to meet and exceed set objectives.”

From July to December, Mobile Embraces’ mobile advertising business’s unaudited revenue increased more than 100 per cent when compared the first half of the year. The growth is attributed to increasing preference from advertisers for a ‘brand safe’ premium network. The Mobile Embrace mobile advertising network includes premium local and global publishers, including the biggest sports (Sportmate), music (Shazam, Sound Hound) and games apps (Rovio – Angry Birds), in additional to leading properties Mamamia, Dictionary.com, APN, ARN and BBC.

Mobile Embrace’s tier one mobile advertising network provides leading brands with reliable, trusted advertising environments that protect them from the undesirable and potentially damaging brand associations that could occur when utilising a ‘blind network’ of uncontrolled or unknown advertising destinations. Mobile Embrace guarantees ad impressions on premium publishers, providing advertisers with the assurity of targeted and recognised environments.

This year further demand for mobile advertising by big brands and businesses is forecast following the staggering 189 per cent increase in accessing online via mobile phones and tablets by Australian consumers as reported Nielsen, October 2012.

Australian internet access from mobile devices is forecast by Morgan Stanley to exceed internet access via desktop PCs in 2014.
