Mumbrella360 video: Beyond Digital Marketing – (keynote) – Mark Ritson
In the wrap-up of Mumbrella360 on June 7-9, 2016, we revisit highlights from the annual event.
Marketing professor and branding columnist Mark Ritson sets out to challenge established thinking on the place of digital and social within the marketing mix. Ritson has taught marketing at London Business School, MIT, University of Minnesota and Singapore Management University, and he is currently a Professor of Marketing at Melbourne Business School. Here, he argues that the power of traditional channels often outweigh the flaky metrics of social media.

The best marketing video I’ve seen all year.
“Digital” marketers in the audience must have been losing their shit. I’m sure the Out-of-home, TV, Radio and Print marketers (oh wait, that’s just one title – Marketing), must have loved it.
Entertaining as always, Mr Ritson.

In Q1 earnings report, FB has 1.09 Billion active daily users, spending an average of 50min a day. Likewise for YouTube – over a billion users and a 40min avg for mobile users.
Really interested to find anything out about those 157 TV programs that are doing better than that. Or the 353 that beat Youtube
