Network 10 successfully gags Peter van Onselen over critical op-ed
Network 10 has been successful in its legal bid to effectively gag its former star reporter Peter van Onselen.
The academic and high-profile journalist penned an opinion piece in The Australian criticising the performance of his ex-employer, sparking a speedy court stoush.
Peter van Onselen left Network 10 earlier this year.
Peter’s op-ed was spot on the money, and as he says, the information contained in said op-ed was publicly available at the time it was written! Paramount must be really on edge about Ten’s recently diminishing results! In ratings and revenue!
Based on Network Ten’s actions, one would think that they are running scared. I felt their reaction to the opinion piece was way over the top.
For that I would give Network Ten a three out of ten.
