Network stars line up to declare their love of Freeview
Freeview has launched a new campaign featuring networks’ “recognisable talent” gazing in amazement at a giant wall of TV screens showcasing the available 16 channels.
Stars involved include Nine’s Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Ten’s Gary Mehigan, Seven’s Larry Emdur and SBS’s Julia Zemiro (pictured).
The ad aired for the first time yesterday. It features more than 40 on air personalities gathering together to push a wall, which in turn rotates a series of Freeview screens.
I recall Julia Zemiro’s cleavage. about it though
This is so cliched and cringe worthy. Bloody awful.
I saw this last night,
The whole thing was so cliched and cringe worthy. Bloody awful.
It was embarrassing to watch, seeing telecelebs go gaga over tv was just ridiculous. Presentation was awful and cheap looking. Concept was bargain bin.
The FTA guys have fought and derided the notion of multi-channeling under the banner of fragmentation and big audiences for so long, that it really makes me laugh.
AFL on Fox, let the good times roll.
Is it rolling out in regional areas?
I love the first series of Happy Days and the Love Boat. Now THAT is good free TV!
I saw it on the ABC and was embarrassed for them.
What’s the point of this? Is it to make audiences feel better about watching free to air?
Or is it a lobby group thing?
Crap production quality. TV screens look like post-it notes.
Strange concept; why did they all just decide that it would be a good idea to push on a wall, it’s not like they knew what was going to happen because they all looked surprised when it moved?
Damn you Mamorable … you beat me to it – a nice Free View. (BTW … great nick!)
“Free TV – it’s a dusty lump of concrete that wont move an inch…”
No?
Gee that feels CHEAP!
What I wonder is why this ad gets to air on the ABC? Sure, ABC has a couple of extra channels, but aren’t the commercial networks the ones with the most to gain from these ads. Isn’t it some kind of breach of the ABC’s charter?
How many of these celebrities have Foxtel at home?
What an embarrassment. Is this the best all the FTA networks could come up with?
The whole spot looks cheap, and the effects look like they were done for by a 1st year after effects student.
PUSH THE BRICK WALL… WOW!
Apparently “Push The Brick Wall” was the better of the two creative concepts. The other one involved a large pile of faeces and a hill.
