Nine attracts 2.488m for State of Origin decider, beating Australian Open Final as 2017’s most watched show
The final State of Origin match was the most watched TV program so far in 2017, edging out the Australian Open men’s final in January as 3.652m viewers nationally tuned in to see the New South Wales Blues and Queensland Maroons battle it out for the shield.
Behind Nine’s 40.5% average audience share, Seven attracted 13.5%, Ten was watched by 10.8%, ABC captured 7.8% of the metro audience while SBS picked up 4.7%.
