Nine names Laing as new MD after successfully leading NRL negotiations
Amanda Laing, Nine Entertainment Company’s group general counsel and commercial director, has been appointed to the newly created role of managing director barely a week after helping to finalise negotiations with News Corp over the sale of NRL broadcast rights.
CEO Hugh Marks confirmed her appointment and said the new role would be crucial to helping develop and exploit Nine’s content.
“I have enormous respect for Amanda and all she has achieved within Nine Entertainment Co. over the past 10 years,” said Marks.
Well deserved promotion. Massive respect for Amanda. An incredibly smart media exec.
I think you’ll find that’s “Group General Counsel” – not “council”.
That would be Willoughby Council.
A class act. Well done Amanda!
