Normal service resumes with Unmade Index slipping, SCA hit hard
The first radio survey day of 2026 was not a good one for our audio-dominated media stocks, with Southern Cross Austereo and ARN both dropping.
Southern Cross was hardest hit, falling 7.5%, to a market cap ($266m) that does a credible impression of ignoring the entirety of Seven West Media.
ARN, whose troubles are legion, was down 1.49%.
Ive was down 3.79%, Ooh Media was down 1.58%, Nine was down 1.16%, Enero fell 1.03%, and News Corp slipped 0.26%.

On the brighter side, SEG was up 8.33% and Aspermont rose 5.0%, while Vinyl was up 2.3% and Motio rose 2.13%. GTN, Pureprofile and Gumtree were unchanged.

This left the index down 1.57% to 352.7, slightly above the record low of just over 350 set two days ago.
