NRL Grand Final draws in largest audience on 9Now; overall views drop after COVID lockdowns spike

The 2022 NRL Grand Final which saw Penrith beat Parramatta on Nine delivered 2.756 million viewers nationally, 1.671 million in metro viewers, and 389,000 viewers on 9Now, the biggest number to watch an NRL Grand Final via streaming.

The game which aired Sunday night topped overall TV viewing on Sunday, winning all three key advertising demos, with the presentation and the entertainment during the Grand Final coverage bringing in 1.348 million and 948,000 metro viewers respectively.
