Photographer Murray Fredericks fronts Richards Rose campaign for Colorbond

Australian adventurer and photographer Murray Fredericks is fronting a new Colorbond campaign created by Richards Rose agency.

TV ads show Fredericks photographing the south coast of Kangaroo Island with images of rugged scenery interspersed with those of steel buildings.

The ads, developed in partnership with documentary maker Brendan Fletcher, is pushing Colorbond Matt, a new roofing and walling product from parent company BlueScope.

BlueScope manager of marketing and market development, Lisa Dent, said: “Like Colorbond steel, Murray Fredericks has a unique connection and relationship with the harsh yet beautiful Australian landscape.

“Murray’s credentials as both a landscape and architectural photographer makes him the ideal person to capture and represent the light diffusing qualities of Colorbond steel Matt”.

Associate creative director at Richards Rose, Simon Edwards, said the execution aims to demonstrate the similar qualities of the Australian landscapes and the Colorbond product.

“When we were thinking about all these factors, it became obvious that Murray was a perfect fit,” he said.
