Publicis Mojo reveals first work for ‘super’ Hahn beer
Publicis Mojo’s first work from Hahn sees a new direction for Super Dry, backed with the theme from 80s TV series Knight Rider.
As part of the campaign, the tagline ‘Pioneering Beering’ has been created to “speak to Hahn’s commitment to innovation and relentless improvement in brewing,” said Ralph Simpson, brand director premium for the company.
The ad – the first since Publicis won the account in November, was shot by director Tom Kuntz who won an Emmy award for best commercial of the year for his work with Old Spice’s ‘The Man Your Man Could Smell Like’.

Nice! I forgot how awesome the Knight Rider theme is…
What’s a Knight Rider?
Brilliant work guys – Knight Rider, nice!
I’m ashamed to realise I’m in the target market.
It’s hilarious.
Nice work cuzzy juzzy.
I don’t even drink alcohol and that makes me want one!
Finally an ad I’ll look forward to seeing on tele!
Made me laugh. Good job.
Love it – close the competition for the best ad of the year as here is the winner
Great ad, well done.
I love it! With the trend in the beer category of advertisers going for laughs there are times the result is too try-hard and unfunny (for me the Tooheys beer economy falls into that category) but this one is a total winner!
Nice idea.
Fucking brilliant
@ fraser, 100% agree with you. Ad of the year already. Anything else is merely going for second place.
Dont drink Hahn Super dry, but will buy one, probably only one, just to say thanks.
Brilliant. I just watched it twice.
Additional satisfaction when I read the Creative Team credits:
Justine Armour, Ruth Bellotti
Ok for an ingredients ad. However, if that’s the best ad for beer this year, woe is me
AWESOME – the music, the ideas, the pace…all brilliant
To be honest I don’t get it. What is so brilliant about this ad?
aww, zac. no one responded! here’s an obligatory *snap for ya
Entertaining, but can’t help thinking that massive budgets seem to be taking the place of great strategy (& copywriting) in beer ads…
that was class! love the glass tiger and the trophy fountain.
kit – its not an either/or i think. a good ad is a good ad, not matter what means or resources were used to get there
