Qantas creates 22-part TV series, launches big budget TV spot
Qantas has partnered with Tourism New Zealand to back a 22-part comedy series based around a camper tour of New Zealand for Qantas Wallabies supporters.
Called The Great Crusade, the series is based on the exploits of a fictional TV presenter and journalist who covers the six-week tour.
The series is directed by Gregor Jordan, and will be produced and written by a team involving Nathan Earl from The Chasers War on Everything and Nick Hayden and Nick McDougal from Hungry Beast.
I hope it’s funnier than the clip suggests. David Brent he aint.
Myles Barlow reviews The Rugby World Cup: 5 stars….
Oh dear. Someone’s learnt the formula for mocumentary – you know, say something and then mumble an aside. It takes comic genius to pull this genre off. (Why would you pick Gregor Gordan for comedy?) Get Chris Lilly in–and fast!
really good – well played
I thought it was funny…
Tho I am a bit over the bloody animals in Optus ads….
I wonder if Craig Thomson booked his personal services via Optus and got double the points?
FFS, I just wish they’d get on with running a bloody airline and getting rid of those ancient 767’s with what must be the only 3 tube projection systems left in the world.

Whether you’re over the Optus animals or not – it continues to be one of the best brand properties going around.
