Radio ratings: Kyle and Jackie O losing ground
Ben Fordham has pulled close to three points ahead of Kyle and Jackie O in the battle for Sydney breakfast, while the duo’s divided attention is yet to pay off in new market Melbourne.
SYDNEY
2GB is by far Sydney’s top radio station in the fourth ratings book for the year. They command 14% of the listening market, well ahead of smoothfm, who are still leading FM, albeit by a smaller margin than during the last rating’s period.
Smoothfm’s 9.8 points has pipped KIIS1065’s 9.7 — both stations have dropped, smooth from 10.7% and KIIS from 10.3, while 2GB picked up 0.7 % to build its lead.
The published figures show breakfast as 5.30-9.00
Most breakfast shows are 6.00-9.00
On those figures…
KIIS up from 5.8 to 6.0
FOX down from 10.1 to 9.7
Gold up from 10.4 to 10.8
MMM up from 5.9 to 6.7
Nova up from 8.8 to 9.9
So even though it is a small increase, K & J have increased.
