Reddit files High Court challenge against u16s social media ban

Reddit has filed High Court documents attempting to overturn the under-16 social media ban.

According to court documents, Reddit will argue against the legality of the ban itself, as well as Reddit’s designation as a social media platform.

Reddit has appointed law firm Thomson Geer — who has successfully taken on the eSafety Commission multiple times on behalf of social media platform X.
