Rove McManus to host new Ten panel quiz Show Me The Movie
Rove McManus is to return to TV hosting, with a new panel show on Ten.
McManus will host Show Me The Movie, which will feature teams captained by comedian Joel Creasey and Offspring actor Jane Harber tackling film questions.
According to the announcement from Ten, “visiting international stars” will join a rotating panel of guest panellists. Ten said: “From big-budget Hollywood blockbusters to sci-fi, animation and chick flicks, Show Me The Movie! will celebrate the good, the bad and the ugly of the big screen. The stars, A-list gossip, iconic movie dialogue and classic cinematic moments all get a comedy make-over.”
“Returns to TV hosting”? Rove was the host of ABC2’s Whovians last year, a panel show discussing Doctor Who. That was his big return to Australian TV, so you might want to consider updating the article to mention it.
You’re not wrong Lauren. Also complicating the narrative was “Rove LA” in 2011-12.
Good idea wrong hosts. Adam hills had a burning passion for and encyclopedic knowlege of all things music which drove spicks. Rove however is full of passion only for putting homself on shows he cant drive and creasy is cringeworthy. Cant think of a worse or less inspiring match up. Basic idea however sounds great but title also sucks. The spicks title was inspired and quirky and a local music industry homage.
