Abbott beats Rudd in Kitchen Cabinet ratings as duo find themselves in unexpected debate on 2DayFM
PM Kevin Rudd’s blitz of ABC TV last night saw 7.30, in which he was interviewed by Leigh Sales, average a metro audience of 792,000, while his Kitchen Cabinet cook-in with Annabel Crabb rated 892,000.
This was behind opposition leader Tony Abbott’s ratings of 899,000 on 7.30 and 921,000 on Kitchen Cabinet on Wednesday night. However, ratings tend to be slightly lower on a Thursday compared to a Wednesday.
Meanwhile , Rudd and Abbott were unexpectedly thrown head-to-head on this morning’s Kyle & Jackie O Show on Sydney’s 2DayFM after the network ambushed the pair and put them both on air together.
I actually think Rudd came across very well on air. Articulate, sharp and whitty. It’s a shame that when his appearances are staged, that he appears wooden. He should ad lib more!
I have Question if someone can answer this – black out on political advertising was days ago. Yet digital platforms such as youtube are still running them. Can anyone give us a heads up???
Rules were written before the digital age.
Billboards are also able to run
Hey Paul…Which one of the Three Stooges did he channel? And is that ‘whitty’ as in Whitlam?
Both Abbott and Rudd have a human side. It only shows sometimes.
