Samantha Jade reprises ‘Cheap Cheap’ in the freezer aisle of Woolworths in new ad
Woolworths has followed up its ‘Cheap Cheap’ song ad with Samantha Jade with the pop starlet reprising the tune in the freezer aisle of a supermarket to promote its freezer specials.
Created by Leo Burnett Sydney, the spot sees Jade shopping in-store dressed in jeans and a pink top before magically catching up with her green-animated bird friends to transform into a wooly white dress and with white ear-muffs.

The brand device of the green birds and ‘Cheap Cheap’ slogan was unveiled by the supermarket last September in an ad for its cut-price white bread while the jingle was launched the following month.
Still waiting for the led zeppelin cover
You know, there has been a lot of fileting of people over this campaign, but there is no doubt those Leo Burnett boys and girls sure extract maximum brio from Samantha Jade. I tip my hat off to her as well.
Shes smoking hot and certainly has my attention!
Due to her earmuffs, she can’t hear what the customers are saying. She just smiles. This may be a good metaphor.
These ads are certainly having an effect. Our local radio station plays the original – Rockin’ Robin by Michael Jackson – each week during Juke Box Saturday Night.
Nice work Ted, you’ve done it again.
Coalition voters must love it. White bread, 1950’s stinky cheese.
vomit.
On the plus side, they found a way to regurgitate the ‘prices are down’ gimmick without anyone noticing much…
Why is everyone in Woolies ads so white?!
