Sandilands says no to The X Factor
Seven will have to manage without the services of judge Kyle Sandilands on the next series of talent show The X Factor, he revealed on his radio show today.
Sandilands, one of the judges on last year’s series, said on Austereo’s 2Day FM this morning: “I’m not doing it. Not because I didn’t like it. I thought the show was great and it was great fun to do but it’s just too hectic, it’s too much.”
Last year Sandilands was a judge on both of Seven’s talent shows Australia’s Got Talent and The X Factor.
Seven announced yesterday that it was beginning auditions for its second series of The X Factor.
Sandilands’ stint on the show was interrupted through him missing episodes because of illness and questions raised about his ability to give time to the acts he was mentoring.
While Seven’s first series of The X Factor (it also once appeared on Ten) was not a flop, the ratings were only moderate, generally floating just above the 1m mark.
What a great bonus for the X Factor!
I’m sure the ratings will double now you’ve got rid of him! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t replace him with that even bigger looser McFadden! PLEASE!
@p6 – “loser”. Although I am sure McFadden is loose too….
It’s a shame the rest of Australia can’t avoid it so easily.
I know it’s oh so last week, but… “WINNING”!!!
He was only saying what was on the minds of the show’s 14-16 year old tease-her-till-she-develops-an-eating-disorder age group. Unless they find another obnoxiously overconfident fat git their ratings will suffer.
Brian McFadden is the biggest douche in Aus!
Poor Kyle. So much money. So much success. So not happy with life. So no respect from the industry.
thank god
