SBS creates animation to promote its film offering
Film makers bring light to the dark masses in an animation created by Us Sydney to promote SBS’s film offering.
The campaign – which is being run without the backing of a major marketing budget – launches on Wednesday. The 60 second spot – aimed at building the SBS Film brand – will be shown on screens in the independent Palace Cinema chain.
It will also be aired on the public service broadcaster’s TV channels.
SBS group marketing manager Katherine Raskob said: “SBS Film brings the world’s best films to Australian homes. We have an opportunity to grow SBS’s reputation as the go-to brand for world and art house movies, to encourage audiences to see SBS as the avenue to explore their love of film. We are confident this campaign is a sophisticated means of achieving this.”

I hope the agency did this as a freebie so it’s got something pretty for its portfolio. Because it’s not going to do much for SBS.
As a film head, I think it’s great.
waste of money
Palace + great ad, sounds like a winner to me.
oh dear
Beautiful
really nice. liking the work for SBS coming out of US. jealous infact.
Agencies make ads like this to win awards.. that’s about it really…
Weary heads full of the cotton of worry, worn out with weary and where to with it all? When the day is too long… a telescope of a day. To a film then and all is well with the world for a short while.
I love it.
LET THERE BE LIGHT! x

A great ad. I was hoping that it would prove to be extracted from one of the ‘Films’ that SBS were planning to show. I could’ve watched a lot more! Well done & thanks.
VERY VERY COOL can we have more please
I LOVE this piece! Well done to US. Yes, SBS – MORE please.
(Yet another reason to love SBS)
