SCA and Seven merger to close within weeks
Heith Mackay-Cruise is now the chair of SCA, following a short stint from Seven's Kerry Stokes
The proposed merger between Seven and Southern Cross Austereo will be finalised on January 7, pending a vote from Seven shareholders later this month.
The deal was announced in late September, and will see SCA shareholders end up with 50.1% of a newly formed company, with Seven shareholders holding 49.9%. The resultant company will remain on the ASX, with the ticket SXL.
The merged company will be led by current Seven CEO Jeff Howard, with current SCA boss John Kelly heading up the audio division.
