Scire appoints first editor-in-chief from Nine’s SMH and The Age
Scire, the new online news publication founded by Chris Janz and David Eisman has appointed its first editor-in-chief.
The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age’s John McDuling is set to join the company, having previously worked with Janz on the ‘Project Blue’ team, to transform Fairfax’s digital strategy in 2016.

McDuling swaps Nine for Scire
McDuling is a great hire. Well liked, well respected, knows how to run a team.
The big question remains on how much these journos will cost the business and how much will the subscription rate be? Who’s also heading up a sales team? Eisman is a growth guy but not necessarily a salesman – will Scire have ads?
