Screen Producers Australia release plans for a credits register

Screen Producers Australia have released draft guidelines on a proposed credits register for producers of Australian content and are asking the industry for feedback.

The announcement:

The intention is that the register will provide a number of benefits:

  • classifying eligible producers for inclusion in awards
  • assisting in mediation of credit disputes
  • offering accreditation mark for producers to include in their screen credits

The draft guidelines for feature films, television drama and documentary highlight the initial phase of this work, having been adapted for the local production community from criteria used in a similar scheme operated by the Producers Guild of America.
