Sensis launches first brand campaign amid ‘very limited’ awareness of digital services
Directories and marketing business Sensis has launched its first brand campaign after research found there was “very limited awareness” of the digital product it offers to small business.

A four month campaign kicks off this week, initially in Melbourne, featuring TV, radio, digital and out of home. Sensis’s recently-created in-house agency Found did the media buy with Ogilvy Melbourne behind the creative.
The marketing push comes several months after Sensis relaunched its brand in a move to reflect the shift away from print directors to digital marketing.
“No one knows of our digital marketing services” ponders company that for 5 years has being to try and tell everyone that it’s transformed into a digital marketing company.
…That builds confidence…
A smart move from Sensis to brand their offering. Not really a call to action in this video, nor a mention of the specific services that they offer? (I am guessing that the campaign will evolve and focus on area’s such as: mobile website, seo, social media…?)
It must be hard for Sensis. The corporate end of town are servicing themselves and utilising the larger agencies. I am guessing that I am correct in saying that Sensis will be pitching SMB’s? The issues here are that somebodies nephew pops up and can build a website, set up social media pages and the business is up to date for the digital world.
I had to find an opticians today in Sydney, on my lunch break to get some new frames. I used Google Maps. Simple. A company can add their own info, directly.
It will be interesting if Sensis have a sustainable model, they certainly have relationships and a vast database. Reach Local is the other big player in this space and are global. How are Reach faring these days?
Good luck with it!
More interesting, but didn’t get a run in Mumbrella, was oOh!media’s launch of its SME business news and information site, ShortPress, available through more than 370 cafes across Australia – via wifi available on your mobile devices.
Dear Sir.
I would like to complain in the strongest possible manner about this advertisement.
It clearly promotes unsafe riding of motor scooters. Think of the kiddies trying to copy-cat this on their bikes.
