Seven loses ground as mystery buyer takes a chunk of SCA

Seven West Media lost 3.70% on the Unmade Index today as the market ruminated on the mystery buyer of 19m Southern Cross Austereo shares yesterday.

The seller was reportedly ARN — offloading shares worth around $16m or 8% of the company — but the single buyer is unknown, at least to Mumbrella and sources (know more? Please get in touch). That information will be revealed in ASX filings early next week.

Don’t forget, the day before News Corp had dumped all its ARN shares.

SCA itself rose 3.73%, neatly counter-balancing its proposed merger partner SWM.
