Seven West Media shares fall as email leak exposes board dramas

Seven West Media’s share price took a hit on the Unmade Index on Friday in a dip that coincided with the bombshell publication of a trove of leaked board emails.

SWM lost 3.9% in late trading. At lunchtime the Australian Financial Review published correspondence uncovering how the SWM board, chaired by Kerry Stokes, discussed reputational crises including revelations about the personal conduct of former CEO Tim Worner and the the allegations of war crimes against its Queensland general manager Ben Roberts-Smith.

SWM shareholders are due to vote in ten days time on Stokes’ plan to merge with Southern Cross Austereo.
