Seven West Media signs deal with Twitter to share Olympics content

Seven West Media has signed a deal with Twitter to distribute highlight clips of its Olympics sports events and sponsors’ promotions.

The deal with Twitter Amplify, the social media company’s business which allows publishers to monetise video content via the platform, will see exclusive moments -such as gold medal wins by Australian athletes – compiled by Seven and shown on Twitter.

Speaking with Mumbrella, Clive Dickens, Seven’s chief technology officer, said the goal of the deal with Twitter was to ensure that when Seven’s Olympics content “goes beyond our own networks” it is suitably representative of Seven’s sponsors.
