Seven’s new shows to be led by younger talent

Darren McMullen, MumbrellaThe Seven Network has revealed MTV’s Darren McMullen to be the host of its soon-to-be launched game show, Minute To Win It – the second game show it has announced in a month.

The channel has recently tended to go with younger presenters and talent for new and returning programs, with Daniel MacPherson to host its other new game show Beat The Star, while the return of Australia’s Got Talent saw Kyle Sandilands and former Westlife band member Brian McFadden take over from Red Symons and Tom Burlinson.

The relaunch of The X Factor on Seven meanwhile, will see the judging panel made up of Sandilands and singers Natalie Imbruglia, Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian and former Boyzone member Ronan Keating.

The host for the show is yet to be announced. Those thought to be in the running are Packed to the Rafters’ Hugh Sheridan and Home and Away’s Axle Whitehead.
