Seven’s Pooch Perfect commissioned by BBC One

Seven Studios has announced BBC One has commissioned Pooch Perfect, a month after Seven CEO James Warburton said the company was considering selling its production arm – possibly to Britain’s ITV Studios – following a $67m half-year loss.

Seven Studios said it has been fielding global enquiries for the Rebel Wilson-fronted reality show since announcing it in September last year. The format – in which 10 pairs of professional dog stylists compete to transform pets and be crowned the country’s Top Dog Stylist – premiered in February to 624,000 overnight metro viewers.

The local series is hosted by Rebel Wilson
