Sneesby’s CEO position safe – at least until upcoming Nine annual results?
Nine appears to have its house in order after the board and CEO Mike Sneesby insisted they are “united”.
On a new episode of the Mumbrellacast, editor Neil Griffiths and publisher Adam Lang discussed the last week of movements for the media giant since allegations of inappropriate behavior were made against former news boss, Darren Wick.
After addressing staff and on air talent last Friday, Sneesby confirmed an external investigation will be conducted by Intersection. The review will commence in the coming weeks, with findings to be completed by the end of July.
Meanwhile, Nine will establish a dedicated hotline to report sexual harassment, and conduct an organisation-wide survey, while staff will undergo sexual harassment prevention training.
