Is it Blue 449 or 499?
Hi Blue,
It is Blue 449. In my haste to get this story up before leaving bed this morning I made a few typos.
My apologies. It has been amended to Blue 449 now.
Cheers,
Abigail – Mumbrella
Who are Blue 499?
Hi WHO???
This was an error on my part. The agency is Blue 449, not Blue 499.
Sorry for the confusion this caused.
I will go and have my coffee now.
Cheers,
Abigail – Mumbrella
Glad they took the Spark name… Blue 449/499 clearly doesn’t have any brand equity! Plus it makes no sense. Like that song.
Blue 449 or Blue 499? Bit of sub editing wouldn’t go astray…
Hi Which is it?
That typo has been corrected.
Regards,
Paul Wallbank
She’s cleared it up twice above.
You’re not being edgy having a go at Mumbrella.
Stick to VICE comments on Facebook.
So they are merging the two agencies into one combined business to service clients better, but KEEPING TWO SEPARATE PHYSICAL OFFICES IN SYDNEY
Sure, that’ll work brilliantly.
I get what you’re saying (and I dont work for either) but if the right people are moved strategically; it will work well..mostly because it will be easy enough to create chinese walls between somewhat competing brands.
Maybe a good move to avoid any more confusion with the company name.
John your hair is glorious
Needs a serious trim
I don’t think Blue 449 really took off in this market. Match Media had a real cool thing going being the hip indy media agency, but since Publicis bought them, they really haven’t been the same. It is actualyl quite sad to see. Now they’re merging with another media agency…this never ends well. Hope they are able to retain their strong talent.
I think they will. Will take more than a name change.
This is just a whole new level of stupid. So one of the agencies has been called StarcomMediavest, Mediavest and Spark Foundry in the past few years, and the other has been called Match Media, Blue 449 and now also Spark Foundry. How on earth do they convince clients that they understand brands??!?
Another case of really smart, hard-working agency folk being done in by the utter stupidity of global holding groups.
Holding groups don’t merge agencies that are going well.
Hence why the change is only happening in APAC and some EMEA markets, while Blue 449 brand will continue in US and UK.
