Stan signs Amazon Prime shows, announces pricing and kicks off pre-launch campaign
Streaming service Stan has signed up two Amazon Prime original shows Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle, and announced its pricing as the joint venture between Nine Entertainment Co and Fairfax Media readies to go live.
As anticipated the service will be available to subscribers for $10 per month, with a 30-day free trial also available, with Stan also kicking off its pre-launch campaign on TV and in print.
Competitors Presto and Quickflix are already priced similarly while Netflix, set to launch in Australia by March, has a three tiered pricing strategy with options starting at $US7.99, $US8.99 and $US11.99. Netflix also offers a 30-day free trial.
No details of any potential bundling options with Fairfax Media newspapers have been announced.
