Sydney radio ratings: 2DayFM share hits new low as Kyle and Jackie O slip behind ABC 702
ABC 702’s Robbie Buck has overtaken KiisFM’s Kyle and Jackie O to be the second most listened to breakfast show in Sydney, while 2DayFM’s Dan & Maz saw their audience share slip to a new low in the latest GfK radio ratings.
Southern Cross Austereo’s Triple M saw a surge in ratings in every timeslot, including picking up 2 per cent audience share with the Grill Team in breakfast taking them to a 7.8 per cent share, leapfrogging Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa who dropped 0.9 per cent share to 6.2 per cent share.
Buck saw his audience share climb 0.1 per cent in breakfast to 10.3 per cent share, as Kyle Sandilands and Jackie Henderson slipped 0.2 per cent to 10.2 share, while Dan Debuf and Maz Compton dropped back from 2.8 last survey to 2.4 this survey, ahead only of Sky Sports FM’s Big Sports Breakfast which climbed 0.5 per cent to a 2 share.
Wow, just when you thought 2DayFM couldn’t get any lower…
Join Sammy Sparrow and Agro on the Hit 1041 2DayFM breakfast show – starts next Monday!
Would like to see the age group numbers that are listening on smooth. Also their TSL.
@Listener The age group numbers for smooth are solid across the board. They currently out rate 2Day in 2Days core target.
Even with a man s**king himself off people wouldn’t listen to Kyle and Jackie O.
@Radionerd would have thought their core target was 16-39? Would like to see the reach numbers on that. Also TSL.
Nova will never win breakfast with Fitzy & Wippa- completely wrong fit for Nova key demos.
2Day FM should get Mikey & Emma from The Edge 96.1.
They would fit the 2Day format so well and bring the ratings back up 100%.
So good to see quality trump trash… if only by a fraction.
As with tv raitings , I’ve always said , how can someone in an office some where , tell me what I’m watching or listening to. I have never been phoned up and asked . I would say get more so called “reality tv shows ” off the air , and real tv shows back on. This whole “ratings thing” is a complete joke!
Just a question, why don’t you sort the ratings highest to lowest so you can see whos at the top instantly? Seems like such an out dated ranking sheet…
