Sydney Thunder launches new mascot for KFC Big Bash League

The cricket league sponsored by fast food giant KFC has launched its new mascot for the 2012/13 Big Bash League series.
The mascot, Maximus Thunder, has been unveiled with a series of tongue-in-cheek videos and launches nationally today via social media, PR and digital media.
Sydney Thunder is the team fielded by the Western Sydney region.

That was seriously the most drawn-out, pointless introduction of possibly the shittest looking mascot in history. Did we need the first minute? And is it just me or is the mascot a dwarf? Since when did Hobbits play cricket?

Maximus Letdown.
I actually quite enjoyed it. I got a real feel for the excitement of 20 20 cricket. And the breakdancing at the end was great fun. Maximus, I salute you.
Two ‘managers’ on the project and they still let this appalling non idea through.
I expect they’ll have more cast members in the ad than views on youtube.
Woeful. Even my Thunder-mad seven year old son wasn’t impressed – that’s some achievement.
