Telstra marketing team restructured with Kingsmill and Bateman’s roles abolished

Telstra CMO Pollard has shaken up marketing team
Telstra chief marketing officer Joe Pollard has created a new role of executive director of retail in a move that sees consumer marketing lead Inese Kingsmill and segment marketing director Andy Bateman’s roles abolished.
The latest shake-up at the telco sees Pollard create a singular position overseeing the brand, with Kingsmill and Bateman moving to new, as-yet-undisclosed roles.
Telstra has launched a global search for an executive to take on the newly-created brand custodian role, at the same time announcing a number of other changes within the marketing group under Pollard’s guidance.
Far too often new senior people come in, restructure with inevitable job losses and then move on leaving a shambles behind them. Let’s hope this isn’t one of those times.
If it looks like a shambles….
Politics more often than not.
