Telstra TV relaunches with free-to-air support and 4K streaming
Telstra has launched the latest iteration of Telstra TV, adding free-to-air and 4K streaming to its home entertainment product.
Originally flagged six months ago, the new product will be promoted in a TVC campaign produced by The Monkeys which will start airing on October 31.
Probably the most important and innovative TV product launch of the year.
But it’s not cool, so won’t be a major part of the narrative.
Which is a shame.
Chromecast Ultra. Or Roku Stick. Or Apple Tv. Or literally anything.
I think this is already doomed; Fetch TV is a mile ahead of it before Telstra TV is even launched.
Not sure that’s true. Telstra has driven the penetration across its customer base (more than Optus, iiNet, Dodo) and for most broadcasters Telstra TV outrates Fetch TV in terms of consumer usage numbers…
