Ten places car in evidence bag to promote Wanted
An ambient media stunt by Ten targeting commuters saw a car placed in an oversized evidence bag in Sydney’s CBD this morning to promote tonight’s new crime show Wanted.
The vehicle was placed on Margaret Street, close to Wynyard railway station, during the early hours of this morning.
Wanted, produced by CJZ, is presented by Sandra Sully and Matt Doran and asks the public to help solve crimes.
Am I the only one that thinks this is incredibly weak?
I actually think it’s clever – very high visibility, should get noticed and raise awareness of the show’s title & timeslot.
Really? A car, wrapped badly in plastic in a Sydney side lane? Most people appear to be looking at its number plates if they’re looking at it at all…
Why not? It’s simple and cost-effective.
@Trish – nice constructive criticism there. Way to go against the trend of online shitcanning.
It’s a bit ‘cheesy’ but i guess it gets the point across.
And just like that, Sydney has become Auckland.
Stop bagging the idea
A car wrapped in a sheet of plastic? Nah! Now this IS good…

Everybodys talkn about the stunt so the msg got through well done people
It’s on at 8.30 tonight. It would be pretty cool if this show actually helped solved some crimes. It would be a good way to contribute to society while watching television. Who would have thought!
Following on from their tagline “evidence is everywhere” I think it would have been good to place the cars in various locations across key cities, not just in one location. The impact would have been far greater, as would have been the talk-ability of the stunt.
Meh… should have booked a Mobile Billboard… we would have at least carbon offset all of this! (Look at all that plastic… won’t somebody think of the children!!!)
