Ten places last on ratings ladder, behind ABC and SBS

Ten had an average audience share of just 6.7% on Saturday night, well behind Seven’s winning 17.8% share, Nine’s 16.0%, ABC’s 15.0% and SBS’ larger-than-usual 7.6%.

SBS’ surge – which for the rest of the week had been averaging a 5.5% share – was due to Diana: In Her Own Words, which had a metro audience of 290,000 and Royal Murder Mysteries (230,000). ABC’s strong performance was thanks to ABC News (771,000), Father Brown (696,000), Shetland (567,000) and Gardening Australia (424,000) which all appeared in the top 10 for the evening.

Nine had the most-watched program of the evening, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings, with 797,000 tuning in to Nine News across the five metro markets. Seven News was close behind on 794,000.
