Ten revives Sports Tonight after seven-year hiatus

Ten is to relaunch its former flagship sports program Sports Tonight after a seven-year break despite the network lacking broadcasting rights to any major Australian sport.

The live news and analysis program will return to screens every Sunday from July 15 at 9:15pm on the Ten and Win Networks.

Hosted by Matt White, who was promoted to Ten’s head of sport in May, Sports Tonight will fill the slot currently held by American crime drama NCIS, with Ten’s most popular show, Masterchef, leading into it.
