Ten wins just 6.8 per cent audience share as MKR smashes 2m mark

Channel Ten’s audience share remained low last night at just 6.8 per cent as Seven’s My Kitchen Rules broke the 2m mark and Nine’s second outing of its drama series Love Child rated 1.255m, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.

Ten’s two new episodes of Modern Family failed to make the top 20 programs of the night in the 7.30pm timeslot, with 409 ,000 and 400,000 metro viewers as My Kitchen Rules won 2.124m and The Block averaged 1.079m for Channel Nine.

The only show to make the top 20 in total people for Ten was its Eyewitness News at 5pm. On Sunday Ten managed just 6.4 per cent for its primary channel, its lowest share since the OzTam system was introduced in 2001.

Love Child fell slightly on its TV premiere of 1.35m last week, however the first episode of the show was the most timeshifted last week gaining a total audience of 1.587m in the last seven days.
